Age 71, of 414 Estates, Beaver Dams, NY passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at Schuyler Hospital, Montour Falls, NY after an extended illness.He was born July 25, 1932 in Corning, NY, the son of the late Norman and Ruth Glover Heverly.Duffy attended Corning Schools and served four years in the US Navy.He was an avid sportsman who loved fishing and trap shooting.He was a life member of the Corning Fish & Game Club.Duffy owned and operated a Roto Rooter and Septic Tank business for many years.He is survived by nine children; sons, Norman (Christine) Heverly of Corning, Steven (Nancy) Heverly of NC, Michael Heverly of Corning, Patrick Heverly of NC and Joseph Heverly of Corning; daughters, Debra (Dennis) LeBaron of Corning, Susan McDonald of SC, Linda (Tom) Dolley of Beaver Dams and Kimberly (Dane) Osborn of NC; nineteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and brother-in-law, Charles Kraus of Tyrone, NY.His brother, Edward Heverly and two sisters, Dorsay Kraus and Sylvia Howard, predeceased him.It was Duffy?s request that the funeral be held privately.Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1316 College Ave., Elmira, NY 14901.
