Orrin G. Jones

Jones, Orrin G. age 80 of Millerton, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday, January 9th, 2016 at the Broad Acres Nursing Home, Wellsboro. Orrin was born in Smithton, PA, October 13th, 1935. He was the son of the late Elvin C. and Florence (Secrest) Jones. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce Jones; sons, Dan (Kim) Jones of Millerton, Brian (Dolly) Jones of Gillett, PA, Ken (Lori) Jones of Pine City; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Larry (Pam) Jones of Millerton; sister, Karen Wheeler of Millerton; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Orrin is predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Jones in 2009. At a very early age Orrin’s hands were put to work on the farm. From that day on they never stopped working. Owning and operating his own dairy farm along with driving truck always kept him working. His strong work ethic was his driven passion in life. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Thursday, January 14th, 2016 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral services celebrating Orrin’s life will be held following the calling hours at 7:00PM. Graveside services will remain private at the Jackson Center Cemetery, Millerton.The family will provide all necessary flower arrangements. Those who wish, please make memorial donations in Orrin G.
