November 19, 1939 — April 26, 2007

Age 67 of Pine City, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 26, 2007 surrounded by her 3 loving daughters, Janet (Keith) Dimon, Marlene (Raymond) Budnick and Brenda Cole; grandchildren, Craig (Jolene) Ferguson, Carly (Robert) Evans, Christopher Glover, Jessica Glover, Joshua Cole, Tasha Cole and Eric (Lillie) Cole. She was very proud of her grandsons, Craig and Eric for defending our freedom in Iraq. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Tyler and Erika Ferguson, Ayden and Arianna Cole and Eligh Evans; best friend and fiance, Donald Stevens; sister, Roberta (Lou) Thomas; brother, Howard Harvey; along with very special best friends, Mary and Woody Wood, Joan and George Farmer. Pat was born to Jonah and Lois (Rhoades) Garris on November 19, 1939 in Elmira, NY. Her husband Robert, brother, Ralph and mother Lois predeceased her. She married Robert Harner Jr. who preceded her in death September 3, 1999. In 1973, the family relocated to Gaines, PA where Pat and Bob successfully managed the Hunting Valley Inn. They were also one of the original owners of the Crystal City Party Center. In 1988, they purchased the Pine City Inn and managed it effectively until their retirement. Since her retirement, Pat was involved in the Class of 1958 Reunion Committee, was a member of the Webb Mills Auxiliary and the Town of Ashlands Senior Citizens Group. Pat enjoyed her time spent with her family at Keuka Lake. She loved to cook, bake, crafts and especially enjoyed decorating for the holidays, inside and outside. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 3:00 PM in the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 to honor Pats life. Her Pastor and friend, the Reverend Dennis Christiansen will celebrate the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to Southern Tier Hospice 11751 East Corning Road Corning, NY 14830 or to the First Baptist Church 121 West Church Street Elmira, NY 14901.
