Patricia A. Lazeski

Age 75, was born on October 11, 1931 to Cecil and Velma Kelley in Elmira, NY, passed away on July 12, 2007 in the Chemung County Nursing Facility, formerly of South Creek Road, Wellsburg. Beloved wife, friend, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Tophlis Lazeski in 1995, and by her 2 year old son Michael Joseph in 1957. She is survived by seven children; Nancy Kirby Kurjakovic (Vel Kurjakovic), Gerald Lazeski Jr., (Kathy), Karen Olmstead (David), Patricia Pinto (Oswaldo), Thomas Lazeski (Donna), Diane Wieziolowski (Jack), and Stanley Lazeski. Pat was the proud grandmother of Kelly (Geoff) Barnes, Kevin and Shawn (Marla) Lazeski, Matthew and Philip Lazeski, Emily and Daniel Pinto, Roman, Morgan, and Logan Wieziolowski, Michael Howland. Pat was a great-grandmother to Kirstin, Blake, Hannah, and Sarah. She is also survived by her brother, James Kelley, and her sisters, Joan Sawdey, Pauline Hill and Marilyn Treat. The children would like to thank a very special Aunt, Loretta Arnold, for the love and devotion she gave to their mother. Pat was a homemaker, raised her children and then went to work for Elmira Structures until she retired in 1993. She was a longtime member of TOPS, Wanda Circle, Home Bureau and had many other interests and hobbies. She was the heart and soul of our family and prided herself in keeping track of everyone. She was an inspiration to all who have known her. Pat always put other people first and was ready to help anyone who needed it. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home Inc., at 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira on Sunday, July 15, 2007 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 16, 2007 at 10:00 am at St. Marys Church, 224 Franklin St., Elmira, NY 14904 with Father Richard Farrell celebrating; followed by graveside service at St. Peter and Pauls Cemetery.
