Patricia S. Owen

Was born December 31, 1922 in Auburn, NY the daughter of the late Morillo and Blanche (Ogden) Smith, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the age of 87. Her loving husband with whom she has enjoyed 48 wonderful years of life and love, John Wesley Owen preceded her in death. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Judith Owen of Elmira, NY; Catherine "Kelli" (Gary) Tucker also of Elmira, NY; Nancy Owen of Poughkeepsie, NY; adored granddaughter, Patricia Tucker of Elmira, NY. Patricia was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church and served faithfully as a Deacon and Elder. She retired as a legal secretary working for many local businesses. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting. At her request there will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service honoring her life and memory on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the First Presbyterian Church 1054 West Clinton Street Elmira, NY 14905. Her pastor and friend, The Reverend Betsey Crimmons will celebrate Patricia's service. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of her family in Woodlawn National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church or to Arnot Ogden Medical Center c/o Neo Natal 600 Roe Ave. Elmira, NY 14901.
