Paul "Mort" Morton

Paul "Mort" Morton Age 56, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. His mother, Theresa (Frawley) Morton; brother, James C. Morton; and father-in-law, Lewis E. Baney preceded him in death. Paul is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lori (Baney) Morton; adoring children, Zachery (Jessica) and Haleigh (Marcus); the light of his life, granddaughter, Makenzee "Meatball" Morton; father, Frank B. Morton; brothers, Christopher A. (Sue) Morton Sr. and Scott Morton; niece, Sara A. Morton, Esq.; nephews, Chris Jr. "Alex" and Andrew Morton; many cousins; loving mother-in-law, Janet "GG" Baney; brother-in-law, Kirk; sister-in-law, Linda; many loyal friends; and his granddog, "Roxy." Paul was born November 11, 1960 in Elmira, NY. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1978 to 1984. Lori and Paul have been together for 33 years. His family meant the world to him. He was a devoted husband, father and "krampa." Paul was a hard working and dedicated union electrician with IBEW Local 139 since 1984. He enjoyed family time, hanging out with friends, listening to music, fishing, reading and watching his favorite teams: the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Reds and the New York Islanders. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, 1238 Pennsylvania Ave., Pine City, NY on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00PM. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 2PM. Interment will take place on Monday, May 1st, 2017 at 1:00PM in the Woodlawn National Cemetery, where the Chemung County Honor Guard will accord Mr. Morton with military honors.
