Age 95, of Sebring Avenue, Pine City, died July 25, 2006 at St. Josephs Hospital.He was born September 16, 1910 in Sullivanville, NY the son of the late William and Charlena Rafferty.Phil was a loving husband, dad and grandpa who enjoyed spending time with his family and going on family vacations.Phil was an employee of Dalrymple Gravel and Contracting for over 50 years.He was a longtime member of the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church.In addition to his parents, Phil was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Crystal D. Rafferty; grandson, Philip C. Rafferty; brothers, Delell and George; sisters, Ada and Ida.He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Carolyn Rafferty; granddaughter, Kathleen Rafferty Oplinger; great-granddaughter, Kristen Oplinger; sister-in-law, Dorothy Dann; and many nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira on Friday, July 28th, 2006 from 5 to 8 PM.Funeral and committal services will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 8:00 pm.Private burial and services will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery at a time convenient for the family.Flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made in Phils name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1249 Front Street, Suite 106, Binghamton, NY 13905, or the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, 1238 Pennsylvania Avenue, Pine City, NY 14871.
