March 20, 1930 — August 9, 2008

Genevieve R. Davis1930-200878 of the Southport Towers, Elmira, NY. She passed into eternal rest, the 9th day of August, 2008. Genevieve was born in Stewart, Pa, the daughter of the late William and Eva Blackson Davis. Her sister Thelma Northcut of Arkansas, and numerous nieces and nephews survive Genny. Her four brothers and five sisters predeceased her.Her friend Caroline Miller, whom she paled around with the last five years, also dearly misses her. Although Genny never was able to have children of her own, she always considered every child in the church her own. She loved the attention and smiles only children could give.Genevieve loved to read and making crafts. For years she taught Sunday School at the Elmira Wesleyan Church where she was very devoted. Her volunteer work with the church always involved working with people. She was addicted to loving people in her community. Genevieve worked for the A & P Plant in Horseheads, NY for many years. Family and friends are invited to a gathering at the Elmira Wesleyan Church, 1100 South Main Street, Elmira, NY to celebrate the life of Genevieve R. Davis. Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 3:00 PM. Reverends Gary Mammarello and Edward Crandall will officiate. Interment services will be held in St. Pauls Reformed Cemetery, Trauger, Pa.
