R. Larue Frickel

Age 93, of Horseheads, NY passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at home. LaRue was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years, Beverly Frickel;parents, Harry and Leola Frickel; sisters, Lucille Beasley, Irma Curren and Jeannette White; and brother, Laurence Frickel. LaRue is survived by his loving children, Larry (Kathleen) Frickel, Carol (Nelson) Romeo and Cheryl Keeney; sisters, Jane Daggett and Diane Stoner; 5 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was a proud Marine Veteran of WWII. He was also the owner of LaRue’s Body Shop for over 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. Donations may be made to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, 388 Upper Oakwood Ave, Elmira, NY 14903. Calling Hours will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. with a service to follow. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
