Ralph Welch

Age 93 of Broad Acres, formerly of Gillett, PA, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2003.Ralph was born May 7, 1910 in Gillett, PA.He attended Troy High School and operated the family farm until 1945, followed by retirement from Hardinge Inc. with over 23 years of service.He was a lifelong member of the Gillett Baptist Church.He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Clifton and Carolyn Welch of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Jon R. (Marian) Welch of Hamburg, Germany; step-grandchildren, Cindy Whitlock of Los Angeles, CA; Lisa (Jeffrey) Gurney of Midlothian, VA; Kim (Philip) Tinder of Rochester, NY; Shelly (Christopher) Pope of New Rochelle, NY; William T. (Joana) Whitlock of Woodstock, GA; and 8 great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Mae Welch and daughter, Carolyn Ann Welch.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY 14904 on Tuesday, May 20, 2003 from 4 to 7 PM.Funeral services will be held in the Gillett Baptist Church, Gillett, PA on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at 11 AM, with Rev.
