Randall “Randy” White, a resident of Horseheads, NY passed away on May 9, 2025. He was 78 years old.
Randy was born in Muncie, Indiana to the late Eleanor S. (Knapp) Jasienski and Mahlon E. White, Sr. He attended school in Daleville and Royerton, IN ultimately graduating from Muncie Central. He was interested in cars from an early age and began working on them at the age of 14. Randy moved to Horseheads, NY in 1965 where he began his professional career in auto repair at the shop on the corner of Old Ithaca and Ridge Road. He then joined the US Marine corps in 1966, finishing his service as a Seargent in 1968. He then returned to that automotive shop which he later bought in 1970. He joined the pipefitter’s union in 1983, and worked as a pipe fitter and master mechanic until he retired from the union in 2011. He returned to his beloved auto shop which he continued to run until it was sold in 2024, after 59 years in the business.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Shinn and her husband Jerry; and his step-brother Victor L. Jasienski.
He is survived by: his wife of 19 years Tina (Dieter) Henry White; his sons – Christopher Durey, Clint Schoyer, and Shane Henry; six grandchildren; his brother Mahlon White, Jr and his wife Joanne; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and his beloved dog Remi.
