Randy L. Horning

Age 53 passed away Sunday, April 13, 2003 at the home of a very special friend, Ruth Goetz in West Lampeter Twp., Lancaster County, PA, after a courageous but brief battle with cancer. Randy was born February 12, 1950, in Troy, Bradford County, PA. He was the son of William Jason ?Jake? Horning of Troy, PA and the late Doris Olive (Ward) Horning. Mr. Horning is also survived by sons Jason (Dannielle) Horning of Portsmouth, VA; Jared (Cindy) Horning of Lancaster, PA; Jeffrey Horning also of Lancaster, PA; grandson, Jason Horning Jr.; granddaughters, Jordan Horning, Alexis Horning and Tiffanie Horning; friend and former wife, Nancy (Nikki) Neylon of Rochester, NY; brother, Gary (Beth) Horning of Troy, PA; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Randy was a graduate of Troy High School and Mansfield University. He was the former proprietor of Newtown Inn in Elmira, NY. He was employed as a Social Worker with the Fatherhood Initiative in Lancaster, PA and a former member of the Lancaster Optimist Club. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and an avid bowler. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Thursday, April 17, 2003 from 5 to 6 PM. A memorial service celebrating Randy?s life will follow the visitation.
