Age 98, formally of Partridge Street, Elmira, passed away peacefully Friday, August 6th, 2004 at the Ira Davenport Hospital, Bath, NY. Ray is survived by nephew, Delvin and Lola Wilt of Port Byron, NY; niece, Barbara Ford also of Port Byron, NY and friends, Charles T. and Barbara Sorge of Painted Post, NY. His loving wife, Hazel V. Wilt; parents, Delvin and Catherine Schmuck Wilt; sisters, Irene and Dorothy; brothers, John Carl and George, predecease Ray.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Sunday, August 8th, 2004 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. Funeral and Committal services will follow the calling hours at 4:00PM. The Reverend N. Glen Landis will officiate. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Port Byron, NY. Ray retired from the Remington Rand Co. in 1966 as a group leader. He loved the challenge of playing the horses. Memorials in Ray?s name maybe directed to the charity of one?s choice.
