Raymond E. Shadduck

Born September 22, 1958 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Paul and Mary (Bailey) Shadduck, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 at his home at the age of 58. His daughter, Angela Wendela; brothers, Dale Bailey Sr., Edward Shadduck and Christopher Shadduck also preceded him in death. Ray is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Connie (Wendela) Shadduck; daughter, Rochelle (Dean) Shadduck-Morgan of Wellsburg, NY; sons, Raymond E. (April) Shadduck Jr. of Elmira, NY, Cherkee Myers Jr. and Cody Myers, both of Elmira, NY; siblings, William (JoAnn) Bailey, Marion Patterson, Tricia Palenkas, John (Sue) Bailey, David (Dianne) Shadduck, Barbara (Robert) Long, Sandy Shadduck and Ronnie (Tiffany) Shadduck; best friend, "Diezel"; along with several nieces, nephews and many friends. For several years Ray has been employed at Southern Tier Hyde and Tallow. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Ray was also a diehard NASCAR fan with the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. being his absolute most favorite driver. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira/Southport, NY on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Funeral Services honoring his life will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm. His brother-in-law, Pastor Daniel Kennedy Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
