Reta M. Lauper

Reta M. LAUPER Was born November 29, 1930 in Providence, RI the daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn (Kipp) Scott passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 14, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Her daughter, Richanne Hall; son-in-law, Stu Kline; sisters, Frances Lee and Charlotte Lee preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving children: Ramona (Russell) Webb of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; Richard "Gene" Lauper of Millport, NY; Renee Kline of Elmira Heights, NY; Ronda (David) Chocklett of Roanoke, VA; Rae Lynn Ames of Millport, NY; along with 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Eva (Stan) Arnold of Elmira, NY; also survived by several nieces and nephews. For 25 + years, Reta was employed as a waitress at the former Masia's Restaurant in Pine City, NY. She was a lifetime member of the Pine City Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 6:30 PM. Lay Pastor John P. Knapp will officiate. Interment will take place in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park at the convenience of her family.
