Was born July 10, 1961 in Elmira, NY, and passed away very unexpectedly on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at the age of 47. His beloved nephews, Frankie Crater III, Adam Roy and Richard Barber, predeceased Rex. He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Carol A. (Packard); twin sons who were his life, Joshua and Justin Roy at home; parents, Shirley and John Divel; sisters, Sue (Don) Price, Bonnie Roy, Linda Pierce, Linette (Steve) Wintermute, Johnny Divel and Brenda Roy; brothers, Dale E. (Sharon) Roy, Eddie (Brandi) Divel, Brian Roy and Richard (Sue) Lambert; mother and father-in-law, Richard and JoAnn Packard; brother-in-law, Keith Packard; along with many loving nieces and nephews, Angie (Ed) Wood, Justine Roy, Amanda Pierce, Derick Pierce, Dana (Lucas) Chamberlin, Zack Barber, Matthew (Colleen) Wintermute, Kienan Kelly, Johnnelle Jones, Emily Lambert, Adam Lambert, Katlyn Divel and Ashley Fitzwater; great nieces and great nephews, Alexis Wood, Blake Wood and Robby Packard; along with several other aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends, especially best friends, Mike and Cindy Becker. Rex was presently employed at Keck's Food Service in Millerton, PA. He was meticulous about all aspects of his carpentry and really whatever he worked on. Rex was also an excellent auto body/ paint detailer as well. Above all else, Rex was a wonderful husband, a great father to his dearly loved boys, an awesome brother, relative and friend to all who will be dearly missed. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. A Memorial Service will follow celebrating Rex's life at 6 PM with Pastor Myra Goss to officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in the name of Rexford L. Roy II may be directed to a trust fund established for his sons at Carol Roy c/o First Citizens National Bank P. O. Box # 125 Gillett, PA 16925 ATTN: Cassy Dygert. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
