Age 54, lifelong member of the Mosherville, PA community. He was born in Elmira, NY August 12, 1950, the son of Carolyn (Card) Wright and the late Rexford Wright. Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Jenny Wright; son, Michael Wright of Mosherville; mother, Carolyn (Card) Wright, also of Mosherville; sisters, Candice (Curt) Tofts of Troy, Pa; Penny (Randy) Crane of Millerton, Pa; brothers, Edger(Cheryl) Wright of Millerton, Pa; David (Dawn) Wright of Gillett, Pa; uncle, Harry (Ann) Card of Lakeland, Fl; aunt, Ida Murdock of Lima, NY; several nieces and nephews, whom he adored. His extended family include Richard (Bonnie) Edwards of Palmyra, VA; Jeri Anne Edwards of Elmira, NY; Donna (?Dale?)Edwards of VanEtten, NY; Jim (Kate) Edwards of Golden Glow, NY; Steve (Trina)Edwards of Temple, TX; Nina Byford of Elmira, NY; Joe(?Michelle?) Edwards of Elmira, NY.Rick is predeceased by his father, Rexford; brother, Michael; sister, Patricia.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY, on Tuesday, July 5th, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services for Rick will be held privately at the convenience of the family.At the conclusion of the calling hours, the Big Elm Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a memorial service to honor the life and service of their former Fire Chief, Richard J. Wright. Other area fire departments are welcome to attend. Rick was a private school bus contractor for the Troy Area School District, and an avid hunter, deer season being his favorite. He was very proud of his family and took much pride in his home. He was a lifetime member and former Fire Chief of the Big Elm Volunteer Fire Department, a United States Air Force Veteran and member of the Clarence Oliver Post #154 American Legion in Elmira Heights, NY. The family will provide flowers.Memorial donations in Rick?s name may be made to the Big Elm Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O. Box 249, Millerton, PA 16936.
