Richard D. "Rocky" Corey

COREY, Richard D. "Rocky" Loving son, husband, father, brother and PaPa, was born January 16, 1960 in Elmira, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at home surrounded by his family and friends. Rick is survived by his beloved parents: Marguerite E. (Scott) and D. Thomas Corey; loving wife: Roxanne (Decker) Corey; daughter: Ondie and Nick; son: Tom and Samantha; the light and life of PaPa: Hailey "Baby doll" and Logan "Bubby"; siblings: brother, Tim and Michelle Corey; sister: Tammy and Dave Hawkins; in-laws: Rose and Mike, Hank and Ellen, Harold and Kathy, Tracy and Dan, and Bud and Bernie; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of special friends. Rick served in the US Navy aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and bowler. He was always loved the "bestest" by all. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will follow the visitation at 7 PM. The Reverend Ellen Decker will officiate. Interment will take place on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn National Cemetery where the Chemung County Honor Squad will accord "Rocky" with Military Honors.
