Richard Duane Strong

Strong, Richard Duane of Pine City, NY passed away on June 16, 2012 at the age of 75.He was born on March 17, 1937. Dick is survived by his wife, Evelyn (McGonigal); children, Lisa Strong, Michael (Sandra), Daniel (Barry); grandchildren, Alex Petzke, Sara Petzke, Mellissa Strong, Kyle Strong; sisters and brothers, Dolores Strong, John (June) Strong, Janice Dean, Charles (Carolyn) Strong, Barbara (David) Saunders; many nephews and nieces.Predeceased by his parents, John and Ethel (Bellinger) Strong and brother, Donald (Shirley) Strong.Dick was retired from Hardinge, Inc.He enjoyed fishing and hunting and had good times pitching horseshoes with friends.The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Falck Cancer Center and Southern Tier Hospice .It was Dick's wish that there be no calling hours.A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.Flowers are gratefully declined.Guestbook may be signed in obituaries at www.olthof.com
