Richard M. Hall

Hall, Richard M. Age 79 of Gillett, Pa. Passed away March 2nd, 2008 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY. Richard was born on January 7th, 1929 in Springfield Township, Pa. The son of the late Frank and Bertha (McKay) Hall. He graduated from Troy High School the Class of 1947. Richard married the former Joyce Holcomb on June 27th, 1948. She predeceased him on September 23, 1989, also by his son Lawrence (Larry) on March 10, 1998, and 2 brothers James in 1987 and Robert in 1983, 2 sisters in laws Evelyn Hall and Shirley Harkness. His is survived by his daughter Catherine (Cathy) Hall of Las Vegas, NV. Grandchildren Richard P. (Catherine) Hall of Arden, NC, Rebecca (Sean) Bowers of Endicott, NY, Andrew Hall of Elmira, NY, and Martin Greenough of Las Vegas, NV, Kevin (Jeri) Greenough of Las Vegas, NV, Susan Greenough of Las Vegas, NV, Great grandchildren Nathan and Gavin Bowers, Xandra Hall, Daughter in law Bonnie (Donald) Dalia of Elmira, NY. Son in law Tim Greenough of Sylvania, PA, Brother Wesley (Ronda) Hall of Pine City, NY, Sisters in law Alice and Mabel Hall both Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Brother in law Norman Harkness of Gillett, PA, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Richard was retired from Thatcher Glass Co. after 37 years of service. He was a member of Gillett Baptist Church and the South Creek Lions Club. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Thursday, March 6th, 2008 from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral and committal services will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 8:00PM. The Reverend Allen H. Goss will officiate. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Gillett Cemetery, Gillett, PA. Those wishing may make memorials in Richard M.
