Richard "Butch" Harry Manchester

Manchester, Richard Harry “Butch” age 71 of Wellsburg, NY passed away very unexpectedly at home with his loving wife Carol by his side.Butch was born in Elmira, May 2nd, 1941. He was the son of the late Richard F. and Evelyn (Besanceney) Manchester. In addition to his wife of 46 years Carol, he is survived by his two beloved children: Scott (April Helmicki) Manchester of Alden, NY and Kelli (Rob Steppe) Lowmiller of Nisbet, PA;the grandchildren he adored, Trevor Lowmiller, Addison Manchester, step grandchildren Aurianna Lowmiller, Aiden Lowmiller; brother: Danny Manchester (Mickey Mallory) of Pine City; mother in law: Norma Ellis of Springhill, FL; and several nieces and nephews; brother and sister in law Richard and Theresa Ellis of Springhill, FL. daughter in law: Barbara Manchester of Palm Harbor, FL and son in law: Rex Lowmiller of Nisbet, PA. Along with his mother and father Butch is also predeceased by his brother, Thomas Manchester. He was a retired employee of Dalrymple Sand and Gravel with over 40 years of serviceand a dedicated and honorable employee at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. for many years, a lifelong member and trustee of the Webb Mills United Methodist Church. He was an Air Force veteran and a lifelong Masonic brother of the Union-Cooley Masonic Lodge #95. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira/Southport, NYon Sunday, October 14th, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 AM. Lay pastor John Knapp will officiate. Graveside services will follow at the Webb Mills Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Webb Mills United Methodist Church or to Breast Cancer Research.
