Richard Orin Hawley

Richard Orin Hawley, 78 of Pine City, NY, passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2023. He was born in Cambridge, KS, to George & Elsie Hawley.

Richard graduated from the University of Kansas Pittsburgh with a BS in Wood Technology & worked in several product segments of Manufacturing Management throughout his successful career, having retired as Director of Manufacturing from CFM Majestic in Ft. Wayne, IN.

Richard had a great sense of adventure & an incredible zest for life. He was an energetic individual with a curiosity to always understand what made everything “Tick” as he loved engineering.
Richard will be remembered for his sense of humor & ability to mentor workplace associates. Richard enjoyed playing golf, sailing, building projects, computers, technology & especially his home in SW FL. He was most proud of his successful sons, their quick wit & enjoyed having them all together to enjoy the subsequent humor that ensued.

Richard is survived by his wife, Kim Hoover Hawley, his children, Richard O Hawley, JR (Jodie) of Evansville, IN, Robert Hawley (Jolene) of Dayton, OH, Ronald Hawley (Jasmina) of St. Louis &
grandchildren; Richie Hawley III, Lauren Hawley & Rachel Hawley.

He is also survived by his sister, Lorna Reed of Leesville LA & Niece, whom he thought of as a daughter, Theresa Jones (Kirk) of Burden, KS, & many other nieces & nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his sisters, Juvene & Shirley, and his brother Joe Hawley.

A Celebration of Life for Richard will be held on August 16, 2023, @ Glenora, NY on Seneca Lake. Please join us to honor his memory. All friends, family & business associates are encouraged to attend & participate.
