Age 89, of 14 Main Street passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28th 2014 at the Robert PackerHospital, Sayre, PA. He was born May 29, 1924 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Ellis and Hazel Oldham of Elmira. He was married to the former Virginia Kelley on April 14, 1955 in Towanda, PA who pre- deceased him on July 16, 2005. They enjoyed 50 golden years of life and love together. He had abrother, Robert and two sisters, Lois and Helen. Dick had a son, Richard Ellis Oldham, Jr. with hisfirst wife, Lula Oldham. Other members of his close and extended family included: sister in-lawLaNora (John) Scheasley; nephews, Eldred (Pearl) Peck of Walpole, NH; Paul (Dolly) Sch- easley of Lake Wylie, SC; and very close friendsMargaret Laura (George) Scheasley Mysnyk of Vestal, NY. Dick graduated from Southside High School and served as part of the Greatest Generation with service in the US Navy at sea as a radar operator during World War II and Korea. He earnedan Honorable Discharge and several DistinguishedService Medals. His working years as a machinist included employment in Elmira (Remington Rand)and in Philadelphia, PA while living in the state of Delaware. Dick and Virginia enjoyed many yearsof retirement by hunting and camping in the Barclay mountain state game lands near Canton, PA. Family and friends are invited to attend Graveside Services on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 2:30 in the Woodlawn Cemetery, 1200 Walnut Street, Elmira. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave.,
