THOMPSON, Richard M. Of Millport, NY Age 38, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 25, 2008. Rich is survived by his beautiful daughter, Brittini Ann Thompson and her mother, Nicole Esposito of North Carolina; his mother, Cynthia Rich (Elmira); father, Richard (Donna) Thompson (Syracuse); grandparents, Albert & Louise Thompson (Elmira); grandma, Dorothy Park (Horseheads); brothers, Craig (Rita) Thompson (Horseheads); Joseph (Jessica) Rich (Big Flats); sisters, Kelly Jo (Linnea) Thompson (Syracuse); Allison Rich (Elmira); aunts, Deborah Hoffman (Chemung); Jeanette Cunningham (Elmira); uncle Tim Park (Pennsylvania); cousins, Mike Burt (Elmira) Ryan & Jenelle Park (Pennsylvania); nephews and niece, Nicholas Thompson (Horseheads); Caleb & Bailey Thompson (Syracuse). Rich was predeceased by his step-dad, Joseph Rich, grandpa, Wilford Park, uncle, Rudy Cunningham and his best buddy, "Zeus". Rich was a man of many talents and he had the ability to tackle any job. He was always willing to put his skills to use to help out Mom and Joe by doing projects such as siding, painting, pouring a sidewalk and rebuilding the porch. Rich enjoyed helping his Dad at his business, the Union Hotel in Bridgeport, NY, not only as a bartender and cook, but he built an addition onto the building. The rainbow that appeared over Elmira on Saturday afternoon was Rich's way of assuring his loving family that he has found peace and happiness in heaven. The family will have a private Memorial Service to honor and remember Rich. Those wishing may direct memorial donations to a College/Trust fund that will be established for his loving daughter, Brittini Ann c/o Cynthia Rich 527 Decker Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 in Rich's memory.
