Rita M. Berlin

Was born February 3, 1928 in Ithaca, NY the daughter of the late Frank and Elsie (Auble)Thomas passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Elcor Health Services in Horseheads, NY. Her loving husband, Douglas W. Berlin predeceased her. She is survived by her beloved children, Lori Putney (Edward Tartaglia), Heidi Mitchell and Kurt (Stacy) Berlin; adored grandchildren, Christopher Putney, Heather (Daron) Seymore, Kelly (Eric) Blandford; Cory Mitchell (Melanie Hardy), Brandon (Alicia) Mitchell, Lindsey Mitchell; Courtney Berlin, Joshua Berlin and Erika Berlin; 14 much loved great grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Chalk and Nancy Bennett; along with several nieces and nephews and her beloved Pug, "Dougie". Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave.Elmira/Southport, NY on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held privately and Interment will take place in the Woodlawn National Cemetery at the convenience of her family where she will be laid to rest with her loving Douglas.
