Robert Lewis â??Bob�? Gressel

Age 84, of Elmira, died Saturday, June 24, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital, Elmira, New York. He is survived by daughters, Rosemary (Mike) Grinnell of Millerton, PA; Barb (Dick) Miller of Elmira, NY; sons, Herb (Brenda) Wild of Elmira; Bob (Patti) Gressel of Pine City, NY; brothers, Fred Dykins of Elmira; Joseph (Myra) Gressel of Utica, NY; sister, Helen Binger of Ithaca; brother-in-law, Harry (Hazel) Wild of Horseheads; grandchildren, Jason and Heather Grinnell, Jaime Miller, and Brianne Liddick; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special companion, ?Midnight?. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Wild Gressel, who died April 13, 1994.Mr. Gressel retired from Bendix after nearly 40 years of service. He was a decorated U. S. Army Veteran of WW II, a member of the American Legion, a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and coached Little League baseball. He was an avid Yankee fan, was also a championship euchre player, and passed this skill onto his son, Robert. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., on Monday, June 27 from 5 to 8 P.M. Funeral and committal services will be held there Tuesday at 11:00 A.M.
