Age 92 of Millerton, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at St. Joseph?s Hospital, Elmira.Robert was born February 26th, 1914 to Wilson and Beatrice Shear Curren. He married his love and best friend, Helen Brewster on February 16th, 1935. She predeceased him on August 12, 1997. Robert is survived by his children, Joan (Albert) Peterson, Charles (Sharlene) Curren and Sharon (Michael) Perkins, all of Pine City, NY; grandchildren, Tawny Card, Lori (Ed) Farmer, Randy (Colleen) Peterson, Brian (Alice Sue) Curren, Robert Curren, Mark (Brenda) Curren, Charles Perkins, Holly Perkins all of Pine City, NY; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Duane Curren of Gillett, PA and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY, Monday, May 15th, 2006 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and again from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral and committal prayers will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 8:00PM. The Reverend Donald Rockwell will officiate and Lay Pastor Jennifer Wolf will co-officiate. Interment services will be held privately at the convenience of the family in the Millerton Cemetery, Millerton, PA.Robert was a member of the Millerton United Methodist Church, The Garrett Miller Senior Center, the NRA and the Tioga Grange #1223. He retired from the Bendix Corp. after many years of service.
