Robert T.DilmoreAge 84 of Big Flats, NY passed away on Saturday February 8, 2014 surrounded by his family at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NYHe is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sheila D. Dilmore;children, Danny Keith Dilmore, Garry Theodore ( Wil Robertson) Dilmore, Jennifer (David Hardy) Dilmore-Benton; granddaughter, Catherine (Matt) Boughtin; grandson, John Benton; sisters, Gail (Milt) Bowdy, Sylvia (Donald) Osborne, and Sharon (James) Hartman; beloved nieces and nephews; numerous special friends whom he loved like family. Robert was a decorated US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was the recipient of two Purple Hearts, Combat Infantry Badge, and a Bronze Star with a V for Valor. He retired from New York Telephone (Verizon) with 36 years of distinguished service. He was a Lifetime Member of the American Legion, Skinner-Ernest Post #1612 Big Flats NY. After his retirement he became a Master Woodworker. Robert loved fishing of all kinds with his buddy Dick. When he was not fishing you could find him on a snowmobile or repairing a snowmobile.
