Robert E. Wheeler,

Age 62, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, March 14, 2006. He was born October 19, 1943 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Robert Ralph and Donna Rae (Kinner) Wheeler. He was also preceded in death by his uncle, Arleigh Criss and brother, Bud Wheeler. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Elsie (Tice) Wheeler; beloved children, Robert (Christina) Wheeler Jr. of Elmira Heights, NY; Michael (Christal) Wheeler of Campbell, NY; Peggy Cleaver (Jake Slocum) of Elmira Heights, NY; grandpa?s angels, Tara (Matt) Shumaker, Tonya Wheeler (Chris Tuttle), Amanda Wheeler, Kira Wheeler, Courtney Wheeler, Kassie Cleaver, Alex Cleaver, great grandchildren, the apple of his eye, Sierra Tuttle and Derek Shumaker; special aunt, Doris Criss; brother, Ricky (Ethel) Wheeler; sisters, Joyce, Karen and Betty Wheeler and Ginger Jones; brother-in-laws, Gerald (Linda) Tice, John (Rubby) Tice and Paul Tice; sister-in-laws, Nellie (Dick) Zeise and Barb (Michael) Snider; along with many nieces and nephews. ?Bob? as he was affectionately known, was presently employed by World Kitchen of Corning, NY as a PLI. His # 1 priority in his life was spending time with his family. He also enjoyed the special fishing trips with his beloved grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Sunday, March 19, 2006 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Celebration services honoring ?Bob?s life will take place there on Monday, March 20th at 11:00 AM.Interment will follow in the Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats, NY.
