ROBERT J. FOWLEROf Elmira, NY Age 60, of W. Miller St. unexpectedly March 1, 2009 at home. He was born November 19,1948 in Brooklyn to the late Bert and Sarah Petrone Fowler. Survived by loving wife, Jeannine Blaker Fowler; daughters Winifred Lucille Fowler, at home, Colleen (Charles) Tice, Kimberly Stoddard (Andrew Penfield); step-sons Roger Coil (Jen Talmage), Anthony Coil (Jen Nichols)& Christopher Coil (Crystal Walborn); grandchildren Daved, Katherine & James Tice, Xavier, Giovanni, Colten Spencer & Ethan Fowler, R. J. Coil, Cory Gleason, Kaylynn, Alanah & Mason Coil & Kyle Walborn; sister & brother Kathleen Fowler, Kenneth (Karen) Fowler; step-sisters Kathy (Delbert) Beach, Ann Cooper. Many special in-laws, cousins, nieces-nephews, & great-nieces-nephews. Many relatives also in NYC. Close friends James & Becky Crumley. Also predeceased by his brother James, stepsister Shirley Hodencamp and first wife Loretta Porter Fowler. He worked for The Dept. of Corrections NYC, Elmira College, and driver for decades for Totem Taxi, Glider Taxi, Courtesy Cab, and D&T Transportation, and too many second jobs to mention. He loved to watch TV, and was a great fan of pro wrestling. He was passionate about his black powder rifles. He was a member of the Pine City Sportsmen Club, and a Life Member of the NRA. He proudly served in the Navy. Friends and family are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 1:00 to 3:00 PM, with a celebration of remembrance (dish to pass) at the V.F.W. on Keefe St. 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Flowers are appreciated, or donations may be directed to either help defray funeral costs, or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
