Robert C. Oliver

Robert C. Oliver Born November 17, 1925 in Newton, MA the son of the late Chester Clyde and Clara (Depuy) Oliver, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the age of 90. Robert was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Jennifer P. Oliver. He is survived by his beloved children: Sharon Oliver Wright (Stephen) of Wellsburg, NY; Robert J. Oliver of Vacaville, CA; Susan A. Oliver of Jacksonville, FL; Peter K. Oliver (Sandra) Fort Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren: Justin Shadduck (Shannon) and Jennifer Shaffer (David); Matthew and Christopher Oliver; along with 3 great granddaughters and his dog "Mitzie". Mr. Oliver was a Veteran and Officer of the US Navy Reserve, proudly serving his country during WWII. He was a graduate of Brown University receiving his bachelor's degree in engineering, then furthered his education at Boston University, receiving his master's degree in business. His career was spent with General Electric. Robert's retirement years were spent in Wilmington, NC, Chatham, MA and Amelia Island, FL. He resided at Appleridge Senior Living in Horseheads, NY. One of Bob's favorite pastimes was travel, which he did frequently with his beloved wife. He and Jennifer traveled the world several times during their life together. In accordance with his wishes, Robert will be laid to rest with his beloved Jennifer in the Milton Cemetery, Milton, MA privately at the convenience of his family.
