Robert E. Robinson

Robert E. Robinson "Bob", "Pop Pop"Age 84, of Wetona, PA passed away to his heavenly father on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Troy Community Hospital. Born in Morris Plains, NJ to Grace Kay and Freeman Erdman Robinson in 1928, Bob was the middle child of five siblings; June Fancher (deceased), Betty Silvain, Lyda Crocco (deceased) and Paul Robinson (deceased). Bob graduated from Morristown High School in 1945. He was the superintendant of Parks and Roads in Morris Plains for 22 years. Bob enjoyed playing baseball for the Brookside Bombers, was a great lover of marching band music and had a love for farming which led to the family moving to Pennsylvania to start a dairy farm in 1968. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy (Parsons) Robinson and their five children; Christine Avery (Garth deceased), Peggy (Richard) Rockwell, Patty (Duane) Cole, Robbie (Diane) Robinson and Jennifer Servedio; grandchildren: Sarah Avery, Natalie Avery, Tara Rockwell, Jeffrey (Rebecca) Rockwell, Erin (Lenny) Reed, Cassi (Jamie) Brown, Sara Cole (deceased), Trevor Robinson, Matthew Robinson, Hannah Robinson, Lorenzo Servedio and Maria Servedio; great grandchildren: Lydia Rockwell, Lenny Reed, Sara Reed, Lauren Reed, Logan Brown and Parker Brown. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 1:00to 2:00PM with the Memorial Service to follow the visitation at 2 PM. Michael Rothstein will celebrate Bob's service. Interment will take place in the Wetona Cemetery at the convenience of his family.
