Robert C. Vanderpool

C. ROBERT VANDERPOOL Of Elmira, NYWas born December 5, 1931 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Jesse and Ethel (Avery) Vanderpool, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at his home at the age of 76. His brothers, Clyde and Richard Vanderpool, predeceased him. He is survived by his beloved sister, Joan Messinger of Elmira, NY; along with several nieces and nephews. Robert enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was a former cook at various restaurants and racetracks around the country. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Services celebrating his life will all take place privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.
