Roger Salvatore Giantomasi

Age 88, of Perine Street, Elmira, NY passed away unexpectedly at home Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Roger was the son of the late Nicholas and Josephine (Cardman) Giantomasi. He was born December 21, 1922 in Elkland, PA. Roger is predeceased by his beloved wife and friend, Ruth, sister; Jean Croft, and brother; Bob Giantomasi. Surviving are his two daughters; Jan (John) Woychak of Pine City and Cindy Caforio of Elmira, grandchildren; Richard (Christine) Caforio of Pine City, Stephanie and Nicholas Woychak of Pine City,great grandson; Antonio Caforio, sister and brother in laws; Kathleen Giantomasi of Elkland, PA; Pearl (Bill) Snyder of Genesee, PA; Hervey Benson on Wellsboro, PA; Monti Lese of Corning, NY and several nieces and nephews. Roger was a communicant of St. Mary's Church of the Southside and also a proud World War II Army Veteran. He was a longtime employee of the NorthPenn Gas Company and a member of the Lyons Club. His family was the joy of his life. Family and Friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira/Southport on Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 1 pm to 3 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm with funeral service following the calling hours at 8:00 pm.
