He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Joan L. Sykes; daughters Gail (Archie) Frazer, Jean (Ron) Dixon; grandchildren, Seth Frazer, Jon Dixon, Kevin (Kim) Frazer and Andrew (Jennifer) Frazer; and 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was a United States Army Veteran of WW II, member of the VFW and a member of the Amateur Radio Association “W2INY”Roger was the owner/operator of Sykes Construction Corporation, of Elmira Heights, NY.Family and Friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Friday June 8, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there Saturday at 11:00 AM, with his pastor Elwyn Patrick officiating.
