Romona (Edwards) Craig

Craig, Romona (Edwards) Age 88, of Horseheads, NY passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Edwards in 1982; her second husband, Alan Craig in 2015; and her two beloved children, Thomas Edwards and Eva (Edwards) Gilbert. Romona is survived by her loving children, Susan Gleason of Toms River, NJ; Charles (Lisa) Edwards of Horseheads, NY; and Ellen (Steven) Tryniszewski of Naugatuck, CT. She will be greatly missed by all her grandchildren, Mark (Diana) Gleason, Steven (Julie) Gleason, Matthew (Wendy) Gilbert, Edward Gilbert, Elizabeth (John) Brown, Melissa Gilbert, Teresa (Jay) Lindell, Sara Edwards, Danielle (Chris) Weaver, Justin Edwards, Adelia Edwards and Stephanie (Anthony) Davis. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. For many years, Romona resided in Cheshire, Connecticut and Lake Worth, Florida before moving to Horseheads. She was a woman of many talents, great humor, a love of cards and especially love for her family. She will be greatly missed by all she leaves behind. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service celebrating her life on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Romona's honor to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind Inc., 371 E. Jericho Turnpike, Smithtown, NY 11787.
