Ronald R. â??Jack�? Van Ness

Age 67 of Elmira, NY, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2005 at home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, June L. (Thompson) VanNess; sons, Wayne (Wendy) VanNess of Horseheads, NY; Dennis VanNess of Elmira, NY; Charles (Sue) VanNess of Erin, NY; and David (Michelle) VanNess of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Steven, Jonathan, Rick, Bryan, Joshua, Jeremy, Jennette, Amy, Mallory, Sean, Zackary, Jeffrey, Taylor, and Kailyn; sister, Peggy Gordon of Hendersonville, NC; brothers, Donald (June) VanNess of Zephyrhills, FL; Robert VanNess of Columbia, SC; Thomas (Diane) VanNess of Verona, NY; along with several nieces and nephews. Ronald was predeceased by his parents, Richard E. and Blanche (Abrams) Van Ness and his brothers, Charles in 1963 and William in 2004. He was a former employee of the A & P Plant, and retired from Trayer Products, Inc. of Elmira, NY. Ronald was a fan of NASCAR and he enjoyed bowling and hunting.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Thursday June 9, 2005 from 2 to 5 PM.
