Collins, Ronald W. Sr. age 74 of Wellsburg, NY passed away unexpectedly at the Elcor Rehabilitation Center in Horseheads, NY Tuesday, July 28th, 2015.Ron was born in Elmira, July 28th, 1941. The son of the late John (Margerita) Collins. He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Carol; daughter and son in law: Pam (James) Sproule of Pine City, NY and son: Ronald Collins (Wendy Bickham) of Wellsburg, NY; 8 Grandchildren:Kelli, Jarred, Brooke, Amanda, Brittany, Courtney, Cassie, Molly; 5 Great Grandchildren: Kyllie, Owenn, Emmaly, Landdon, and Emmet; sister: Lou Eva (John) Kohena of Horseheads, NY and brother: Fredrick (Sherri) Collins of Pine City, NY; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Thursday, July 30th, 2015 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Memorial Services will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 7:00PM. In service to his country Ron proudly served in the United States Navy. He retired from the Hilliard Corp. after 37 years of dedicated service. He was an avid Hunter and fishermen, who loved street rods and classic cars. He enjoyed the many friends he had in the Southern Tier Classic Car Club.
