Age 82, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at home.He is survived by his wife Doris (Palmer) Dunn; loving step-father to Lorrie A. (Frutchey) Devine, husband Gerard J. Devine of MD; Mary Alice (Frutchey) Eckert, husband Ross J. Eckert of Lewiston, NY; grandfather to Georgina Lorraine Devine, Kevin R. Eckert, and Daniel J. Eckert; loving uncle to Gregg, Gary & Gavin Field; step-children; Susan Little and husband Dale Little of Pine City, NY, David Palmer and wife Susan Palmer of Buffalo, NY, Rebecca Vegard and husband Dennis Vegard of Elmira, NY; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; father to Cathy Dunn and Michelle Dunn Rudy, grandfather to Jamie and Brett.Ron was a devoted member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, a US Air Force Veteran of WWII, member of Union-Cooley Lodge #95, F & AM, and St. Omer?s Commandery #19 Knights Templar, Life Member of Southport Volunteer Fire Dept., and an avid bowler. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira on Friday, May 16, 2003 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with funeral service there on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Father Donald Matthews will officiate.Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors. A luncheon will be served at the Wellsburg Fire Station, 3661 Front St. (Lower Maple Avenue), Wellsburg, NY for family and friends following the graveside service.
