Ronald J. O'Brien

O'Brien, Ronald J. Age 69 of Pine City, NY, passed away on March 21, 2010 peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. Ronald is pre-deceased by his wife of 50 years, Judith (Dibble) O'Brien. He is the son of Pauline (Cleveland) Olthof and the late Joseph O'Brien. He is survived by his children, Joseph (Deborah) O'Brien with children, Sondra (Kevin) Ogden (grandchildren Ryleigh and Liam) and Erin O'Brien, Kathleen Lepkowski with children, Michael Jr., Christopher, and Kayla Lepkowski, Jay (Lisa) O'Brien, with children Sara and Zachary Golden, Patrick O'Brien, with children Justin and Morgan O'Brien , Colleen O'Brien with children Courtney O'Brien and Garrett Peterson, sister Joyce (Brent) Hill, sister-in-law Bonnie (Claude) Cole, several nieces and nephews, dear friends Frank and Jeanne Kraft. Also pre-deceased by his brother Humphrey (Sonny) O'Brien, Walter and Francis Palmer, and dear friends, Nick and Deanna Muccigrosso. Ron was retired from IDM/Corning Inc. and Thatcher Glass. The family will receive friends at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Penna. Ave, Elmira, NY on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 4 -7 pm with Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 25,2010 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Franklin St. Elmira. Followed by graveside prayers in St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery , Elmira, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may bemade to Southern Tier Hospice.
