Ronald A. Pond

age 58 of Curtis Street, Elmira. Went to be with his Lord, Monday, June 8th, 2009 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Ronald was the son of the late Donald and Ruth Talada Pond Sr. He was born on April 10th, 1951 in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Surviving him is his loving wife of 38 years Margaret of Bethany Village, Horseheads, NY. Brothers: Donald (Grace) of Athens, PA; Robert (Marion) Sr. of Sayre, PA, and George (Louise) of Murrells Inlet, SC; and many nieces and nephews. His brothers also dearly miss Ronald in law: Richard McGrain and Maurice McGrain both of CA.He is predeceased by his brother: William Talada and mother in law: Gladys McGrain.Ronald was a dedicated member of the Elmira Wesleyan Church; he worked many years as a security guard and carrier for Chemung Canal Trust Co. where all loved him.He was proud to be a NAVY veteran, and he loved his cats. Most of all, his free time was spent honoring his wife Margaret's needs and wants. Ronald adored his wife Margaret with everything he had. Every moment he was able to spend with her, he thought of as a gift. Family and friends may call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Friday, June 12th, 2009 from 12:00PM to 1:00PM. Funeral services will be held there at the conclusion of the calling hours at 1:00PM. Reverend Gary Mammarello will officiate. Graveside services will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira. With full military honors accorded to honor his service to his country.
