Ronald G. Tobias 1946-2009 Age 62 of Elmira, NY Died peacefully at home surround by his loving family. Ronald was born on June 18, 1946, the son of the late Tony and Leona (Arthur) Tobias. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Terry Tobias, daughter and son in-law, Kari & Michael Wood and family, Tyler, Dylen, Mikey, Zacky, and our little princess, "Alexis" all of Elmira, NY, daughter, Melanie Tobias of Buffalo, NY, son, Jacob Culkin of Elmira, NY, brother, Richard (Janet) Tobias, sisters, Jan (Warren) Roman, and Carol (Jim) Piper, also several nieces nephews and many close friends. Ronald was the former owner of Ron's Dugout in Horseheads, NY, an avid Yankees and Miami Dolphins fan, also a retired employee of Corning Inc. Ronald was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, on Monday June 22, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with Funeral Service there Tuesday June 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM, Father Richard Farrell will officiate.Followed by graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY.The family would like to thank, Shelly Coon, Penny Roman, Jan Roman, Corning Inc. and all who helped with Ronald's benefits. They would also like to thank Dr Stryker's office & staff, the Radiology Department and staff of 2B at Arnot Ogden Medical Center for the wonderful kindness and care Ronald received.
