Rosemary P. Longwell

Age 82, formerly of Johnson Street, Elmira, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday August 2, 2003 at Chemung County Nursing Facility. She was born May 22, 1921 in Elmira, the daughter of the late Walter H. and Julia M. (Sullivan) Patterson. Rosemary married the love of her life, M. Glover ?Bud? Longwell on April 12, 1947 in St. Patrick?s Church. He preceded her in death October 2001 after celebrating 54 wonderful years of life and love together. Rosemary is survived by daughter and son in-law; Julianne & Thomas Combs of Elmira, NY; grandson Jeffrey (Dana) Combs of Mt. Olive, NC; granddaughter; Tech Sgt. Colleen (Todd) Penrod, Scott AFB, IL, grandchildren, David and Chelsea Combs; Jessica and Makayla Penrod; brothers, Walter Patterson of Elmira, NY; and William Patterson of Collinsville, IL; sister in-law; Dorothy Longwell of Lowville, NY; brother in-law; Harry Kahler of Horseheads, NY; her loving caregivers, Geri Levi and Linda Stroman of Chemung NY;Donna Coldiron of Horseheads, NY; along with several nieces and nephews. She, along with several other ladies, created their own rosary group and would get together at their homes to say the rosary. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Friday, August 8, 2003 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 9, in St Patrick?s Church Elmira at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul?s Cemetery.
