Wilson, Ross “L” age 80 of Elmira, NY passed away July 6th, 2016 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Ross was born May 6th, 1936 in Williamsport, PA; the son of the late Lynn Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Beatrice Wilson; daughter: Susan Argotsinger of Amsterdam, NY; mother: Mary (Hughes) Wilson of Williamsport, PA; sister: Lynda (Kenneth) McCracken of Corry, PA; along with several nieces and nephews.In addition to his father, Ross was predeceased by his brother: Zane Wilson; son: Duke Wilson; and son in law: Mark Argotsinger. Ross was a United States Navy veteran where he was a photographer. He attended Lock Haven State College and became an educator in English for the Elmira City School District for over 30 years. He was very active in the school’s extra activities including coaching tennis, yearbook advisor, and directing school plays. He was a member of the Caton United Methodist Church, Fur Fin and Feather Shooting Club, American Legion, and the Moose Club. Gardening was a passion, along with hunting, fishing, shooting skeet and trap and the great outdoors. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Caton United Methodist Church, 11186 Hendy Hollow Rd., Corning, NY 14830 on Saturday, July 16th, 2016 at 11:00AM for a memorial service celebrating the life of Ross “L” Wilson.
