Ruth A. Borris

Age 59, of Addison, NY formerly of Gillett, PA passed away after an extended illness, Saturday, November 29th, 2003 at the Corning Hospital. Ruthy is the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Sempler Shope. She was born in Elmira, March the 29th, 1944. Survived by her children; Rich and Tammy Gush Bollen;Amy Bollen;Kim and Bob Baldwin, 8 grandchildren whom she loved dearly; Brooke, Kayla, Michael, Bron, Christy, Josiah, Jacob, Jerimiah; brothers, Dave Shope, Ronald Shope, Jim (Cheryl) Shope, Dale (Nancy) Shope.Ruthy is predeceased by her husband ,Tony Borris, August 19th, 2000; daughter, Christine Marie Bollen, July 4th, 1980 and brother, Gary Shope.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2003 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral and committal services will be conducted at the conclusion of the calling hours at 7:00pm. Pastor Brian Bailey will officiate. Interment will be at a time that is convenient with the family in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Ruthy loved being home with her loving family. She was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her grandchildren. She loved to cook, garden, winning at cards and her television was always tuned to QVC ,a good game show or an old movie favorite, but she especially loved being with her grandchildren.
