Ruth E. Congdon

Ruth E. CongdonAge 95, was born October 6, 1918 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late George W. and Maude E.(Andrews) Holly passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Her loving husband of 64 years, Arthur I. Congdon Sr.; twin sons, Jack and Jerry Congdon; grandson, James A. Lewis; brothers, Clarence T. Holly and George W. Holly II; son-in-law, Richard L. DeMark; daughter-in-law, Patricia A. Congdon preceded her in death. She is survived by her beloved children, Arthur I. Congdon Jr., Robert C.(Rose) Congdon, Carolyn (Donald) Lewis, Lorraine DeMark and Evelyn (Terry) Putney; sister, Ella Wheeler; along with 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Ruth was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed. At her request there will be no prior calling hours. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Ruth will be laid to rest with her beloved Arthur in the Elmwood Cemetery Caton, NY.
