Ruth M. Kelly

Age 83 of Elmira, NY, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 21st, 2007 in Winchester, VA at her daughter Dorothys residence.Ruth was predeceased by her parents Robert A. and Eliza Avery Freeman, step-mother, Addah Larcum Freeman, son, Robert; daughter, Ruth Slaven; brothers, William, Richard, and Harold. She was born in Elmira, the 19th of May 1924. She is survived by her loving husband, friend and business partner of 65 years Robert Kelly; her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy (Arthur) Morgan; sister, Nancy Jane Kistler (K. William); brothers, Robert and Burton; grandchildren, James (Karen) Slaven, Kelly (Keith) Morgan-Walker, Francine (Stephen) Sibert Henderson, Leslie (Stephen) Eberhard, April Kelly; great-grandchildren, Nicole and JR Slaven, Alan Jessup and Catherine Jessup Bohart (Brian), Corey Silbert, Haden and Henry Walker, Chloe and Megan Eberhard, Christopher, Brooklyn and Shawn Kelly, several cousins, nieces and nephews including special niece and nephew Stephen and Kristina Kistler; daughter-in-law, Sherie Kelly and son-in-law, Jim Slaven of Elmira.Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY, Tuesday, September 25th, 2007 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. Funeral services will be held there Wednesday, September 26th, 2007 at 10:00AM. The Reverend William Vallet will officiate. Graveside services will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Ruth was a member of the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, O. E. S. Harmony-Loyal Chapter of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Eastern Star. She loved to crochet for Heartfelt Angels. For over 28 years, she owned and worked for Kelly Business Services with her husband Robert and daughter Ruth. She loved to read and spend time with her family.
