Ruth Mead

Age 86 has been called home to her heavenly father. Ruth loved writing poetry, walking and doing crossword puzzles. She retired from Buffalo China After 16 years of dish designing. The family wishes to thank the Elcor Nursing home staff and Hospice for her care. Ruth left behind daughters, Anna Mason, of Binghamton, NY and Gwen (Dave) Purcell of Gillett, PA, son, Fred (Marge) Monk of Buffalo, NY, 41 Grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, and 82 great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by parents, Charles and Rose Swackhamer, husband, George Mead, sons, Seymour Monk, Brent Monk, and George Monk. Also Daughters, Barbara Mercia and Juanita Mason.Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Thursday April 12, 2007 at 1:30 PM, the Reverend Myra Goss will officiate. Burial will take place in Buffalo NY at the convenience of the family.
