Ruth B. Myers

Age 92, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 20, 2003 at The Falls Home in Montour Falls, NY. She was born January 15, 1911 in Chemung, NY the daughter of the late Henry and Emma (Winkel) Balmer. She was preceded in death by the following: first husband, Reuben Wells; second husband, Fred Myers; daughter, Alice Kingsley; son, Henry Wells; grandson, Lynn Davis; brothers, Leman, Charles and Harry Balmer; sister, Ora Welch. She is survived by her loving daughter, Dolores Ostrander of Ventura, CA; beloved grandchildren, Linda (Terry) Noble, Terry (Genie) Kingsley, Denise (Jim) Crooker, Kim (Jim) Treat, Laurie Adams, Julie (Rick) Perry, Elizabeth (Jim) Adams, Jamie (Chris) Gilcrest and Carol Rockwell. Ruth was elected as auditor for the Tioga County Court House and served faithfully for many years. She was proud to be a life-long democrat. Ruth volunteered for the Red Cross and was a member of the Millerton Methodist Church. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Thursday, October 23, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours. (8:00 PM) The Reverend Dale Dunmore will officiate. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may direct memorial donations in the name Ruth B.
