Ruth Terwilliger

Age 95, formerly of 1830 Haines Terrace, Elmira, NY died on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Elcor Health Services, Horseheads.She was born on February 11, 1912 the daughter of the late William and Catherine Barr Rennie.Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, Frank W. Bianculli in 1976 and second husband of 14 years, Gerald W. Terwilliger in 1998; five sisters, Agnes Stuart, Beth Anderson, Wilma Bauman, Isabel Baker and Catherine (Kay) Marks; and brothers, Thomas Rennie, William S. Rennie.She is survived by step-daughters, Ann (Warren) Wenzl and Sandra (Douglas) Parmerter; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; many kind nieces, nephews and friends; close and devoted friend, Jane Sheets.Ruth was a 55 year member of Lake Street Presbyterian Church in Elmira, NY.She was Past Matron of Loyal Chapter #265 OES, a member of Thursday Morning Musicales and Travel Club.She served as Secretary of the Chemung County Sanatorium from 1943 to 1954 and as Secretary to the Chemung County District Attorney from 1956 to 1968.Ruth enjoyed outdoor gardening and playing bridge with her many special friends.The family will receive friends at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Monday, July 30, 2007 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with funeral services there at 1:00 PM.Reverend Ross Raymond will officiate.Interment following in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira.If desired, memorial donations may be made in Ruths memory to the charity of your choice.Ruths family would like to offer a special thanks for the excellent care given to Ruth while she was at Woodbrook and Elcor Health Services.A Candle of Remembrance may be left for her family in obituaries at www.olthof.com
